Michael and Elizabeth Hackett find that their life blood, the acres of lemon groves that have been handed down to them, are being threatened by a deadly disease, and the possibility of losing their livelihood has put an added strain on their alreadyfragile marriage. When Paul Davis, the FDA investigator, quarantines the groves after finding the virus, Michael's rage at his circumstances drives an even deeper wedge between him and Elizabeth.
